Runtech systems will supply a RunEco vacuum system to Ankutsan A.S. PM2, Turkey. The delivery includes two EP650 Turbo Blowers with ABB frequency converter, EcoDrop water separators and EcoFlow dewatering measurement systems for trivac suction boxes on the wire and couch roll and press section save-alls and uhle boxes. The RunEco system will provide additional vacuum capacity for the board machine, which will be relocated to Adana site.
“As a second RunEco installation to Ankutsan, the mill already has good operating experiences with turbo blowers. These EP Turbo Blowers will provide the needed extra capacity in an energy-efficient, water-free way,” says Mario Battiston, Sales Manager, Runtech Systems.
RunEco EP650 Turbo Blower is a two-stage speed-controlled blower designed for large paper machines and both greenfield and retrofit installations. The closed 3D impeller design gives top efficiency together with good controllability. The EP Turbo unit includes an integrated high-speed drive, which eliminates the need for a gearbox or coupling. EcoFlow dewatering measurements will provide a window to the process with accurate real-time information about the dewatering performance.
Ankutsan, established in 2002, operates with five production facilities on a total area of 239,000 m2 in Antalya, Mersin, Ankara, Adana, and Tekirdağ Çerkezköy. Ankutsan is one of the leading manufacturers in Turkey. It produces 300,000 tons of paper, 420,000 tons of corrugated cardboard sheets and boxes annually.
